The Architect | Greenlight

The Architect is a sci-fi puzzle game where you control a “mysterious, yet insignificant” object on its unknown quest.

You will start the first level thinking there is several different paths, but I assure you that only one of them is correct. It is all about moving around and raising platforms using the special “space manipulators”. These can give you the ability to raise, or lower, certain sections of the map, provided you have the correct colour. You can find optional levels, indicated by an orange orb, which allow you to discover more about this curious world and the story behind it. Other features include: controller support, the ability to create your own levels, and add a story to it.

The Architect

The Architect is being developed by a two man team. I got the opportunity to talk to one of the developers – Bela, who was happy to answer some questions. In the original update I checked out, there had been some issues with the camera, which he has now fixed to allow for a much smoother experience. When I mentioned achievements, he told me how is trying to, “[make] the achievements hard,” like the game. They will involve things such as creating special patterns, or only travelling over each spaces once etc.

In my opinion, this game is well put together and interesting. Since the camera was fixed, I have no complaints with this game. I really do suggest you check it out on Greenlight and vote it up, because this game looks great.
