During this year’s International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Razer received many awards, including the “People’s Choice” award for the Razer Nabu, a smartband.

They have decided to follow through with this product, with a worldwide launch expected around Q1 or Q2.

Last weekend, they opened applications and within 24 hours over 10,000 developers had signed up to support this innovative step for Razer. Until now, their products have mainly been peripherals, gaming laptops and software. Hopefully, the Razer Nabu is just the start of an exciting journey which will include pages more of innovation.

OUYA released a 16GB version of their console this week, available for only $129.99 on OUYA.tv and Amazon. On top of the memory upgrade, users can expect a new look for both the console and controller, as well as boosted WiFi connectivity. The question is whether the controller has changed enough to please those who complained about it’s predecessor last year.

Finally, The Great British Game Jam 2014 will pit Team 17, Bossa Studios and Future Games of London against each other in a 48 hour competition to prototype a game from scratch.
