A million bullets, almost as large as a person, flying at you from all directions. The source of these dangerous flying projectiles: turrets.
A few nights ago, I was getting ready for bed when I heard a noise outside my door. The first thing I did was reach for my phone and launch the torch app. Once there was light, I felt brave enough to get up and check what the noise was. It was the dog.
We have all had moments like this, moments where we have had to switch the light on, check under the bed or behind the curtains, and pop our head round the door to ease our fear. The question is, what if these shadows were living entities that wanted to claw at your legs, pull you into the darkness, or worse?
Go To Bed: Survive The Night is a ‘bedroom defence’ game where you must use the power of light to fend off the darkness that creeps ever closer to your bed. This will be the debut release of Touchfight Games, a newly formed indie studio comprised of Nathan Meunier, freelancer and author of Up Up Down Down Left Write; Leonard Kenyon, writer and illustrator of children’s books; and Jon Kenyon, developer of Dead Trail.
My initial thought was that it looked graphically similar to Don’t Starve with the pencil drawn style. This worked well in adding a spooky atmosphere, to the aforementioned game, that kept you on your feet. Hopefully Touchfight Games can build on this with their soundtrack, and get your heart racing as you struggle to fight off the darkness with what little light you have.
Touchfight Games are aiming to release on both PC and iOS around Halloween. However, they currently need your support to help them through the Greenlight process, so they can bring you the game via Early Access and utilise your feedback throughout development.
